Rules for Admission



GENERAL RULES
(a) Parents should note that the school has very limited seats in each class.
(b) The minimum age for admission to class 1 is 6 as on 31st March.
(c)
A child once admitted as a Boarder will not be allowed to become a Day Scholar except under very special or compassionate circumstances.
(d) Married Girls are not eligible for admission.
(e)
All candidates seeking admission have to take the School Entrance Test and appear for personal interview along with their parents. The entrance test will consist of three subjects - English, Hindi & Mathematics. If after being called for the test for admission, a girl does not present herself on the appointed date, the registration will lapse & the registration fee will be forfeited by the school.
(f)
Candidates who do not qualify in the Entrance test or interview will not be considered for admission.
(g)
THE PRINCIPAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADMIT OR REJECT ANY STUDENT.
(h)
At the time of admission, the following documents are to be submitted to the School Office.
 
(i)
Original Transfer Certificate. (Where applicable)
 
(ii)
Original Birth Certificate along with a photocopy. (The Photo Copy will be retained in the School Office)
 
(iii)
Medical Certificate
   

REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION

Registration for admission in Class-I only will open from 1st October, Parents desiring admission for their daughter / ward are to submit the Registration form as attached to the Prospectus along with a fee of Rs. 1000/- latest by 30th November. The tests and interviews of the Candidates will be held in the Third week of February. The time, date, place of the tests and interview shall be notified to the Parents in advance. The registration Fee is non-refundable.

NEW ADMISSIONS: OTHER CLASSES

The number of seats in each class are very limited. Admission to students in other classes will be given subject to availability of seats. Details of admission tests & interviews may be checked from the school in the second week of April. They are to submit the Registration forms along with a fee of Rs. 1000/-. The Registration form as attached to the Prospectus may be used. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.

CURRICULUM

The school follows the CBSE pattern. The medium of instruction is English. The school academic session is form April to March. No student shall be eligible to take the examination (Home & Board) unless she completes 75% of attendance up to 31st January.

STUDY COURSES

The Central Board of Secondary Education course consists of two years i.e. Class XI and Class XII. The course is integrated but bifurcated into class XI and XII respectively, so that the content load is reduced and real teaching-learning is promoted in the classroom. The class XI examination will be based on the course content of that class and examined internally by the School.

The Subjects for study will be as follows

(A) Compulsory Group: TWO LANGUAGE CORE/ ELECTIVE Hindi and English

Notes:
(i) It is desirable that the same language is not offered as core and elective.
(ii) A student can offer all the required number of elective subjects from the General Education Course.
(iii) While offering the number of subjects or their combinations, candidates are advised to keep in view admission requirements for higher courses.
(iv) The Syllabi of elective language will be different from the one for core languages.

(B) Elective Group: At least three from the following

(i)
Language Elective:
Hindi and English
(ii)

Economics, Political Science, Geography, History, Sociology, Psychology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Commerce, Accountancy, Home Science, Painting, Hindustani Vocal Music, Art, Physical Education, Informatic practices, Bio-technology and Kathak dance.

(iii)
General Studies, Work Experience and Physical and Health Education.

The subjects mentioned in group (B) (iii) will be undertaken by the school itself in terms of grades on a nine – point scale. The evaluation for subjects of internal assessment shall be based on Cumulative record of the candidate during her continuous assessment in the school.

NOTE :
(a) Work Experience, Physical & Health Education and General studies are compulsory for all. These subjects are for internal assessment.
(b) Student has option to offer, in lieu of one language, any other elective subject under the Scheme of Studies mentioned above.
(c)

Students will be permitted to change their subject/combination of study by 16th August. After that change of subject will not be allowed.

(d) No student shall be permitted to change her subject of study after passing class XIth.
(e) The students shall not offer a subject in class XII which she has not studied and passed in class XI.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Principal is very occupied in supervising, teaching, seeing to the children’s individual problems and administrative work and is therefore unable to see parents without prior appointment. She is available in her office on week days between 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. Parents are requested not to disturb her on Sundays or holidays except on very important and urgent matters only.

House lmprest: (Residential Students)

It is important that the ward always has a credit of Rs. 6000/- in her Imprest Account. New Parents will kindly deposit Rs. 10000/-. This is for her personal requirements including Class, Hostel, Sports uniforms, Books, Pocket Money and other Hostel Contingencies. Pocket Money will be paid to the ward monthly by her House Mistress as follows:-

Class Introductory to J - 1 ( 1st to VIII ) Rs. 80.00 P.M.
Class IX to XII. Rs. 100.00 P.M.


                                   

Pocket money is paid out of the IMPREST. Parents are requested not to give any extra cash to their child or to the hostel matrons/house mistresses. All contingencies will be met out of Imprest Account.

Advance Deposit

New parents are requested to deposit a sum of Rs.12000/- (Refundable) Advance Deposit for every resident student. For Day scholars, the Advance Deposit is Rs.3,000/- (Refundable) This will be refunded when a girl leaves the school after all dues have been cleared.

Visiting Hours (HOSTELS)

Parents/Guardian may meet their children as per the following timings on Second Saturday only.

Summer

1st April to 31st October 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Winter

1st November to 31st March 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Incase of emergency, the Parents may meet their children at any time with the approval of the principal/Warden/House-mistress.Vehicles are not permitted to go to the Hostel except when carrying a sick child or for carrying luggage of the child.


Leave for Absence/Going Out

On no account a resident student is to leave the Campus without proper authority from the Principal. Leave of absence from the Hostel may be granted by the Principal under the following conditions:-

(a)

Marriage/Betrothal ceremony/illness/death of blood relations or any other important occasion which necessitates the presence of the child at home. Such leave shall not exceed more than three days at a time unless relaxed by the Principal. Children of class I to V are allowed to stay out for a night on the second Saturday of the month with their local Guardian only. They are to report back to the Hostel by 1700 hours on Sunday. They will be collected and returned by the local Guardian. This facility will be granted only if written standing authority is given by the parents at the time of admitting their child in Hostel.

(b)
Children may be allowed to become Day Scholar (Home Leave) for 3 days in case they want to live with their parents coming from outside Jaipur. Prior permission of the Principal is to be obtained to avail of this facility.
(c)
Children overstaying the House leave or coming late after the 3 days vacation will be fined Rs. 100/- per day. If the overstayel exceeds five days, name of the child is liable to be struck off from the rolls and she will have to take the approval of the Principal for readmission. Should there be an emergency the parents are to inform the Principal immediately within three days telegraphically or telephonically.

Important

On no account a residential student shall leave the campus without prior permission of the Principal & will be escorted by responsible person duly approved by the parents. Day students also will not be allowed to leave the campus during school hours except in emergency and that also with prior permission of Principal and under escort of their parents.

Withdrawl Notice

Parents are requested to give three months notice in writing of the intended withdrawal of a resident student. If such notice is not given full fees for 3 months will be charged.

Journeys & Travel

Traveling expenses for residential students to cover journeys from School to Home and return during vacations are to be remitted as per notice sent by school. Arrangements for individual or private journeys are not made by the school.

Examination Fees

Fees for the Public Examination of Class X and Class XII are charged extra. The parents are to pay these fees immediately on hearing from the School.
