M.G.D. Girls school came into its being with a thought, a desire to set up an exclusive school for girls. Since the school started by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh was already over crowded, therefore a large piece of land was allotted for the new school and during the Construction the school was housed at Madho Vilas, a beautiful building on Amer Road.

In the beginning M.G.D. was an extended part of the Jaipur family and was invited to all important polo matches and occasions like diwali to the city Palace. Formidable contributions of Rajmata Sahiba of Kota, the Maharaja and the Maharani, the active support of the then diwan of Jaipur State Sir Mirza Ismail and with the guidance of the then education minister Raja Amar Nath Atal gave a formidable shape and a form for girls education and M.G.D. was born in 1943...more
